INVITATION TO BID
THE DORCHESTER COUNTY COUNCIL IS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR SUPPLYING TOWING SERVICES TO DORCHESTER COUNTY VEHICLES FOR THE PERIOD OF MARCH 5, 2019 – MARCH 5, 2022
The County Council of Dorchester County Maryland is seeking bids from qualified towing services to establish a three year contract not to exceed $15,000. Types of vehicles needing service will include, but are not limited to: Passenger Cars and Light Duty Vehicles, Dump Trucks, Ambulances, Midsized SUV/Trucks, and Tractor Mowers. The contracted vendor may also be requested to winch or extract vehicles that become stuck or disabled during emergencies or other situations. Vendor must be able to respond to call (as needed) on a 24 hour, 365 days per year basis. Vendor must supply The County with a 24 hour monitored phone line. Vendor must be able to service all of Dorchester County and have a response time of one hour or less to all locations within Dorchester County.
Bid Specifications and Bid Forms can be obtained at the Dorchester County Department of Public Works, on 5435 Handley Road, Cambridge Maryland between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. Sealed proposals with Bid Form must be completed and returned to the Dorchester County Council’s Office, 501 Court Lane, Room 108, Cambridge, Maryland, 21613 by 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Tuesday, February 27, 2019. Bids will be opened and read publicly immediately in Room 110 after the submittal deadline. Envelopes should be clearly marked Request for Proposal – “PROPOSAL TOWING SERVICES BID -2019”.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to take whatever bid they determine to be in the best interest of the County considering the lowest or best bid, quality of goods and work, time of delivery or completion, responsibility of bidders being considered, previous experience of bidders, or any other factors they deem appropriate.
